Albert Lundquist, a Florida native, is a Surgeon Assistant and Physician Assistant who has lived and practiced in Greensboro since 1987. He received his undergraduate degree with double majors in Biology and Chemistry from Berry College near Rome, Georgia and completed his training at the University of Alabama in Birmingham School of Medicine and Allied Health Surgeon Assistant Program. Mr. Lundquist has practiced in ophthalmic surgery and ophthalmology since 1984, first at St. Luke’s Eye Institute in Tarpon Springs, FL for 3 years and then in a private practice in Greensboro for 22 years before joining Digby Eye Associates in 2009. He is both specifically trained in surgery and certified as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Mr. Lundquist is involved in ongoing continuing medical education, and he passes comprehensive exams every 6 years to maintain his national certification as a Physician Assistant.
Albert is married, and he and his wife, Julie, enjoy spending time with their two grown children and traveling. With a love of being outdoors, his passions include watching the 22 species of wild birds he attracts, houses and feeds, including hand feeding live meal worms to Eastern bluebird parents for them to feed to their hatchlings and fledglings. Albert also enjoys fly fishing in North Carolina mountain streams and has been learning to tie his own flies. His other outdoor hobbies include yard work and landscape and vegetable gardening, and his favorite indoor pass-time is baking luscious cheesecakes.
