J. Suzanne Parker, OD

Dr. Suzanne Parker joined Digby Eye Associates in 2008. A North Carolina native and graduate of University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where she received a B.S. degree in biology. Dr. Parker received her bachelor of science in optical sciences, and her Doctorate of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College Of Optometry. She completed her internship at Hahnemann Hospital, Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. and continued her training by completing a residency program at the world famous Bascom Palmer Eye Institute gaining extensive experience in glaucoma, retina and general ophthalmology diagnosis and management. In addition to fitting the latest technologically advanced contact lenses on healthy eyes, Dr. Parker also has experience in fitting contact lenses for complicated, diseased and post-surgical corneas. This experience and advanced training will allow Dr. Parker to provide quality care for a broad range of patients at Digby Eye Associates. Additionally Dr. Parker is fluent in Spanish, and is happy to offer care to people of Spanish heritage in their native language.

Dr. Parker is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the North Carolina State Optometric Society. She frequently presents at the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Parker is glad to be back in her home state and anticipates participating in Tarheel alumni activities. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, and the fine arts including music, dance, theatre, and art. She has a special love for the Impressionist artists.
